I wished that we had true Linux phones here in the states. I hate Google/Android and I really don't care for Apple. I know there were Ubuntu cell phones available somewhere in Europe (even Firefox OS phones in South America at one point).
Before the Android fanboys shout at me and say 'Android is Linux', I say 'Blasphemy!!!'. Android has a Linux kernel but everything else is so loosely based on true Linux that it might as well not be considered Linux. Plus I want full control over my device without Google forcing me to bow down to their disgusting invasion of privacy tactics. There has to be a way while still having service through a provider.

I was going to do this, then I realised three problems, I don't have a wireless keyboard, I don't have a wireless mouse, and I don't have any storage left. I do however have root.

it will a lot better if we can get linux distros ported for our smart phones and flash them with custom recovery. then we will not be needing high end specs normal specs will do the magic.

Rooting a new-ish Samsung device voids the warranty. they implemented a mechanism which permanently flags the device as being tampered with (via a hardware electronic fuse that blows). so yeah, I'm not gonna try it on my phone. I won't be buying a Samsung next time.
